Job Description - MUST HAVE DENTAL EXPERIENCE
We are excited to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated and capable individual to join our team as a Dental Practice Administrator. This full-time position is ideal for a professional looking to advance their career in dental practice management. Located in Arizona, this role requires an individual who can efficiently manage daily operations across our two private practices. Please note, this is not a remote job opportunity, and presence at the practice locations is mandatory.
As the Dental Practice Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our practices run smoothly and efficiently while providing excellent patient care. You will be directly responsible for administrative tasks, team management, and optimizing operational workflows. We are searching for a practice manager who can embrace the challenges of managing multiple sites and aspire to deliver the highest standards of patient and staff satisfaction.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across two private practice locations.
- Build and maintain strong doctor and hygiene schedules to optimize patient bookings and minimize gaps.
- Effectively manage cancellations and no-shows, and capitalize on same-day appointment opportunities.
- Communicate treatment plans clearly in both English and Spanish
, ensuring patients understand their care pathways and next steps. - Coordinate treatment planning, including financial discussions, pre-authorizations, consents, and scheduling of proposed treatments.
- Lead the team by establishing training protocols, ensuring accountability, and setting high service standards.
- Maintain and improve business systems such as checklists, standard operating procedures, team huddles, patient handoffs, and follow-up processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as production, collections, accounts receivable, unscheduled treatment time, and schedule utilization to optimize practice performance.
- Manage insurance related tasks including eligibility verification, claims processing, posting accuracy, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Ensure the practice complies with all relevant regulations and standards (HIPAA/OSHA) while maintaining an exceptional level of patient care and experience.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
, with strong capabilities in both speaking and writing. - Required experience with Dentrix and Ascend practice management software.
- A minimum of 3 years of dental experience in managing a dental office, preferably in a private practice setting.
- Demonstrable experience with advanced scheduling strategies and treatment plan coordination.
- Must possess leadership qualities including the ability to coach, direct, and enhance team performance.
- Reliable transportation is necessary as the role supports two locations.
