Position: Construction Manager
Openings: 5 total across various locations
- 1 in Nevada (Sparks)
Schedule: (M-F) 8am-5pm (some OT possible)
Must Haves:
- 5-10 years of post-graduation construction management experience (ok with 5 if they have a Bachelor's Degree)
- At least 8 years of documented experience working on mission critical or data center projects
- Procore Experience
- Strong understanding of MEP Systems
- Ideal experience would be being a superintendent of a construction site and dealing with contractors/sub-contractors

Our client is seeking a highly talented individual to join the Data Center Capacity and Delivery (DCCD) team as a Construction Manager.
- This position will be staffed by one (1) individual who is expected to distribute their time (and time onsite) across the program according to the staffing matrix provided in this RFP. Travel between sites will be required on an as‑needed basis to for specific events including: milestone pre-walks, billing and change order reviews, contractor meetings, and coordination of CMS staff. The position shall be billed hourly based on actual hours worked on projects.
- The CM will be required to observe construction directly and must be capable of using ladders, scaffold and other jobsite aids while complying with GC and OSHA safety requirements.
- Minimum qualifications for proposed staff for this position are and fifteen (7) years of post‑graduate construction management experience with demonstrated experience on projects of similar size and scope and a BA in engineering, architecture, or construction management. Twenty (10) years of documented experience on relevant mission critical commercial, institutional, or public sector construction projects may be substituted for the education requirements.
Day to Day:
- 3.01:
Participate in schedule development meetings with the GC and provide constructive input aimed at ensuring a well‑developed project schedule. - 3.02:
Review all project schedule submissions in conjunction with CMS vendor Position 1 and ensure the GC submissions and resulting comments are aligned with project documents, conditions, and actual progress. Submissions will include baseline submittals, progress updates, and requests for additional time. Coordinate with other positions. - 3.03:
Review GC Division 1 submittals for compliance with the project documents and reasonableness. - 3.04:
Assist in the development and issuing of reporting on the overall project schedule, budget, and quality. This will require coordinating the CMS team to provide a weekly report in a format developed by, or with our client. The CMS Sr. CM will be responsible for coordinating the CMS team and with the QS vendor to ensure the quality of data and presentation. - 3.05:
Direct observation of construction to determine field conditions and providing independent assessments of issues affecting scope, cost, and schedule. - 3.06:
Ensure the maintenance of a comprehensive project timeline by the CMS vendor. The project timeline must include but shall not be limited to major milestones, delays, changes, RFIs, submittals, inspections, special events, etc. - 3.07:
Assist in handling disputes with the Construction Contractor. Assistance shall include preparing related correspondence, assembling reports, and providing general assistance necessary to develop the Owner’s position. - 3.08:
Coordinate the efforts of the CMS vendor team to ensure: - Lessons learned are shared across the sites and processes are consistent. Efforts will include milestone readiness, quality observations, partner team coordination, and general risk mitigation/issue resolution.
- CMS staff is using their experience to determine priorities and driving resolution of issues.
- The CM has full visibility on the project and is kept fully informed of risks and issues.

Close-Out – Final Accounting - 4.01:
Review Closeout requirements and coordinate their delivery from the GC and other vendors as requested.
