Overview

The essential functions of this position will include assisting Chief Operations Officer in day‑to‑day activities for the business and to be a valued employee to promote positive change.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to the COO.
  • Assists in management meetings to include scheduling, preparation of meeting agenda, creation of meeting materials, organizing meeting facilities and creation of meeting minutes.
  • Reviews legal contracts and works with Executive team and Legal for edits and approval.
  • Translates reports, presentations and other documents from/to Japanese and English using DeepL software.
  • Coordinates activities of COO to drive change and accountability in the organization. Includes, but not limited to, follow up with responsible employees on COO’s action items, tracking KPIs, follow up on projects to track success, etc.
  • Coordinates within MPCA required reports to support MGC Japan reporting requirements.
  • Assists in the MPCA growth of various existing plant projects and potential new expansion plans. This includes organization of files and supporting documents to ensure successful expansion to budget is monitored.
  • Assists in developing much needed business improvements by utilizing systems and moving away from ad hoc spreadsheets.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self–starter.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Strong knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures and recordkeeping systems.
  • Solid experience with Contract review.
  • Computer proficient and strong skillset in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Adobe).
Education and Work Experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.
  • At least four years of related experience required.
