Position SummaryThe Director of Business Development will help spearhead Virtus Renewables’ expansion into new markets, focusing on building strategic partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning services with client needs. This is a key leadership role that involves fostering productive relationships, influencing product strategies, and shaping the future of our company in the renewable energy landscape.
Responsibilities- Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with leading solar and energy storage developers to understand their business drivers and tailor solutions that maximize value.
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Analyze customer needs, market trends, and input from leadership to shape and execute a robust growth strategy.
- Proposal Development: Respond to customer procurement processes with optimized proposals, ensuring alignment with both technical and commercial requirements.
- Product Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain consistency in service quality, delivery timelines, and customer expectations.
- Market Expansion: Identify and explore new market segments and regions to drive business growth.
- After-Sales Strategy: Support the development of a robust after-service model with internal and external service partners.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to manage product launches and ensure the seamless integration of business development goals into the broader organizational strategy.
- At least 10 years of experience in the solar and renewable energy industry, with a focus on storage or O&M.
- Proven track record of business development success and strategic growth implementation.
- Expertise in navigating customer procurement processes and tender requirements.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and expenditure analysis.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively while contributing effectively in team environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently, with an expected travel commitment of 50-60%.
