Hours:
40 Hours a week over 5 days
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the asset management workstream, ensuring the accurate verification, condition assessment, and transfer readiness of all physical assets under the contract. This role is critical in providing assurance that asset information is robust, validated, and aligned with contractual and technical requirements ahead of transition back to the Trust. You will oversee asset data validation, lifecycle reconciliation, and technical due diligence, working closely with operational teams and stakeholders to support a smooth and compliant handback.
In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and delivery of the annual Lifecycle Plan, safeguarding asset condition, value, and long-term performance.
- Lead all asset-related activities in line with the PFI expiry programme and contractual obligations.
- Manage comprehensive asset verification, condition surveys, and validation of asset registers against lifecycle records.
- Ensure assets are transfer-ready, compliant, and supported by robust technical due diligence.
- Work collaboratively with the NHS Trust, PFI Management Company, and FM teams to align asset management outputs.
- Maintain high standards of asset data quality, accuracy, and reporting in line with NHS PAM and relevant frameworks.
- Review lifecycle models, expenditure, and residual life to support negotiations and risk allocation at expiry.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks relating to asset condition, maintenance, and compliance.
- Oversee the collation and submission of technical documentation and evidence required for handback and assurance.
- Proven experience managing asset-related work streams on complex estates, ideally within healthcare or PFI environments.
- Strong understanding of PFI contracts, FM delivery models, and asset handback obligations.
- Solid technical background in asset management, condition surveys, and lifecycle modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Good knowledge of NHS Estates guidance, HTMs, and statutory compliance frameworks.
- Competent in the use of asset management and CAFM systems.
- Degree in Engineering, Building Surveying, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, MSP) desirable.
