Westwood Talents is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage independent Data Science Experts for research and applied experimentation. You’ll support data-driven model improvement, performance evaluation, and scalable experimentation workflows.
Location eligibility (must be based in):United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
What you’ll do- Analyze large datasets to surface insights for model refinement
- Build and apply statistical/ML methods and evaluation frameworks
- Assess model performance and review output/data quality
- Create reusable tools for processing, visualization, and reporting
- Collaborate with research teams to test hypotheses and scale experiments
- 3+ years in data science, ML, or related analytical work
- Strong Python and core libraries (pandas, Num Py, scikit-learn)
- Solid statistics, experimental design, and model validation skills
- Comfort with large-scale data workflows and version control
- Clear written communication and cross-team collaboration
- Independent contractor, fully remote, flexible schedule
- Expected commitment:
10+ hours/week - Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
- Not able to support H1-B or STEM OPT at this time
