Technical Solutions Engineer - Open Finance

Location: UK or Western Europe (Remote)

We're seeking a versatile Technical Solutions Engineer to own both the technical sales and implementation journey for our open finance risk management solution. This unique role combines pre‑sales technical consultation with hands‑on implementation, providing end‑to‑end technical ownership of customer success with financial services organizations including banks and fintech partners.

• Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design workshops
• Create and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Design solution architectures tailored to client needs
• Develop proof‑of‑concept implementations
• Provide accurate technical scoping and implementation timelines
• Support RFP/RFI responses with technical content

• Drive end‑to‑end technical implementations post‑sale
• Create and manage detailed project plans and timelines
• Lead technical workshops and training sessions
• Create technical implementation guides and documentation
• Lead API integration workflows, testing processes, and deployments
• Coordinate between internal technical teams and client stakeholders
• Manage sandbox testing and production deployment phases

• Act as primary technical point of contact throughout customer lifecycle
• Manage technical relationships with partner teams
• Coordinate between technical teams, business stakeholders, and compliance
• Provide regular status updates and progress reports
• Handle technical escalations and problem resolution
  
  Monitor project risks and dependencies

• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and API security
• Knowledge of banking systems and financial data structures
• Experience with open banking standards and regulations
• Understanding of payment systems and transaction flows
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and microservices – AWS, Aurora RDBMS, Redshift, AWS WAF, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of data protection and security requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years combined experience in technical sales and implementation
• 5+ years experience in banking/fintech industry. Knowledge of banking core systems
• Background in solution architecture
• Strong background in API platforms and integration technologies. Previous development or integration experience
• Demonstrated success in complex technical sales and implementation cycles
• Experience with sales methodologies and CRM systems
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Strong understanding of financial services compliance requirements

• Excellent technical communication and presentation abilities
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
