Restaurant & patient Catering Assistants

Overview

To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. Job opportunities have arisen for 1 x 21hr post to support Restaurant & patient Catering Assistants within our busy Catering Team at Prince Charles Hospital. The positions will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.

This post is monthly paid.

• The main duties of the post include the delivery of catering service within our Restaurant & Catering Stores at Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all cleanliness and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering Service such as the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies and procedures, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
• Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.
• The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.
• The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

Prospective applicants should self-assess their eligibility for sponsorship by visiting the UK Government's Work in the UK guidance. For eligible candidates, the Health and Care Visa offers reduced application costs and exempts payment of the annual Immigration Health Surcharge.
