Position: Clinic Co-Ordinator (Endoscopy Unit)

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) Health Board within the NHS. This is a full‑time position based at the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.

The post holder will work as a Clinic Co‑Ordinator within the Endoscopy Unit, working in a multi‑disciplinary team and ensuring the right patients attend their correct clinic.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of operations within the NHS, and making sure patients receive the best possible care.

Key Details
  • 2 full‑time vacancies
  • Welsh language desirable (level 3 speaking & listening, CEFR B2+)
Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day co‑ordination of all Endoscopy appointments and outpatient clinics.
  • Preparation of all case notes in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Provision of a high quality reception service for patients, families, carers and visitors.
  • Management of the partial booking wizard and support of the Manager and junior staff.
  • Cover reception duties on a rotational basis.
  • Maintain the partial booking invitation wizard in line with departmental procedures.
  • Co‑ordinate all appointments in a timely manner.
  • Track, locate, file and retrieve case notes.
  • Prepare and provide case notes for clinics.
  • Input and extract data from the Health Board's Myrddin CIS system (and other systems as required).
  • File documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Postpone and reschedule follow‑up appointments and monitor cancelled and reduced follow‑up patient clinics.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in a clinical or administrative role within a hospital setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly clinical information systems.
  • Desirable: conversational Welsh (level 3 speaking & listening).
