This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Our team is responsible for driving quality products throughout the organization by maintaining a corporate culture that emphasizes accountability, drive, and attention to detail at all levels. This position requires a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership; and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.

In this role, you will apply standard engineering techniques to evaluate product conformance through the execution, optimization, and validation of quality processes. This requires verifying product and process conformance, root cause and corrective action analysis, nonconformance disposition, hardware acceptance planning, and design verification. Establishes quality standards for products and processes and suggests modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products.

Works closely with cross‑functional teams, including product design, product management, and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks. Audits production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met. Conducts root cause analysis for defects, non‑conformities, or other quality failures.

In addition, you will perform reviews and approve manufacturing and integration build documents including work orders and nonconformance records. You will perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100, recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality, and provide quality assurance subject matter expertise to inspection, fabrication, and test. Periodically, you will interface with internal and external customers on quality related concerns and develop training materials to build quality awareness.

You will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager.

• Shifts available: A-shift:
  Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
• This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need.

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness
