ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking a TPS Spacecraft MLI oftgoods Technician Associate at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Works from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
- Able to set up run industrial sewing machines.
- On/Off-Vehicle includes:
Aeroshells, Hatches, and Heatshield. - On/Off – MLI installation. Thermal Barrier bonding.
- Duties will also include Instrumentation, surface preparation for bonding operations.
- Review and validate MLI and Thermal Barrier processes for accuracy.
- Aid in establishing on floor thermal barrier and MLI flow plan.
- Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
- May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing.
- Aerospace TPS (Thermal Protection System) experience, past resent with thermal barriers, MLI or equivalent.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 0-2 years.
