This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, comprising Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, including Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a subject‑matter expert you will contribute significantly to the development of innovative best practices and standards and lead specialized production initiatives, ensuring production schedules, assembly, execution, and quality objectives are met across designated areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of a world‑class manufacturing facility.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) and support Program Management Reviews (PMR) focused on cost, schedule, and quality.
- Manage product line capital purchases and budget.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure project completion within schedule and budget constraints.
- Drive the development of a factory visual workplace vision and roadmap.
- Ensure project management and manufacturing operations have clear performance metrics.
- Develop and leverage partnerships across organizations.
- Serve as an influencer across the business.
- Coach and mentor a world‑class visual management team.
- Develop capacity analysis methodologies to inform project prioritization.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in engineering, design, manufacturing, logistics, and other areas to achieve project delivery on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience with project management and a background in Lean and Six Sigma.
- Experience in regulatory environments (AS9100).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills without direct authority.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
