This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, developing Blue Moon landers and related products. It supports Blue Origin’s mission to create sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As the MK2 Schedule Lead, you will be responsible for managing the integrated schedule baseline in Primavera P6, driving execution, and measuring project success.
Responsibilities- Support management of an integrated schedule baseline, WBS, IMS, and detailed IPT‑level schedules.
- Solicit inputs on requirements and dependencies across MK2 product teams, ensuring clear communication.
- Drive execution of plans by coordinating status updates, collecting performance data, performing forecast updates, and providing actionable reporting.
- Generate actionable metrics, KPIs and schedule reporting artifacts to inform IPT leaders.
- Hold assigned IPTs accountable for schedule performance against the MK2 program plan.
- Proactively mitigate roadblocks to ensure projects stay on track.
- Implement change management for approved scope changes.
- Vet schedule forecast updates for accuracy, including ETC and EAC exercises.
- Demonstrate dedication and tenacity in driving development and construction of the lander.
- Ensure critical deadlines are met, delivering a robust, reliable lander essential for mission success.
- Experience working in ambiguous environments.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management or other analytical field.
- 5+ years’ experience in program scheduling (aerospace or R&D preferred).
- Broad scheduling skillset – proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project or similar.
- Control account management: baselining, reforecasting, variance analysis, schedule‑change management.
- Ability to build, develop, and maintain a networked, resource‑loaded Integrated Master Schedule.
- Proven ability to drive results beyond input collection and reporting.
- Experience developing schedule reports and KPI analysis.
- MBA or Project Management certification (PMP/CMP).
- Experience establishing new R&D programs.
- Experience in fast‑paced development environments.
- Experience with government contracts.
- Experience with project cost management.
