* This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of manufacturing planners, we provide ذا technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Your responsibilities will include authoring detailed work instructions in support of factory operations and contributing to hands‑on assistance at the shop floor utilizing schedules, parts, tools, engineering designs and processes for a robust, reproducible and repeatable build plan that provides configuration control to the product.
You will also ensure that engineering requirements are incorporated into the build from a hands‑on technical perspective, enable production data to be properly recorded, and disposition non‑conformances to keep production planners also provide manufacturing shop assistance, ship side support and build plan support as well as support the development of build plans at the cell and factory level.

Shift & Work Environment- Shifts Available: A-Shift
- This position requires on‑site work.
- Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into thorough work instructions and build plans.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and refurbishment.
- Define how to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flight.
- Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test.
- Design proper material handling and packaging to protect hardware throughout the build and test process.
- Create in‑build redlines and recommend engineering changes to improve design.
- Closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- Perform engineering drawing review and provide final approval for manufacturing.
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
- Develop process control measures and evaluation through statistical analysis.
- Disposition and support non‑conformance repair and rework activities.
- Perform root cause analyses when non‑conformances and televisión escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
- Design, procure, install, and integrate custom manufacturing equipment.
- Interface with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure hardware and equipment is manufactured, processed, packaged, and delivered properly, on time, and on budget **/
- Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the entire build and test process.
- Minimum of an associate degree or graduate trade school degree in a technical field or related discipline, and two or more years’ of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
