The position requires anticipating Launch Operation’s needs, establishes material kitting cadences based on launch schedules, and collaborates across multiple organizations to sustain launch-critical readiness.

This role operates with limited guidance, delivers tactical execution with emerging strategic scope, and mentors peers and leads in process discipline and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates daily yard operations including satellite trailer receiving, dock scheduling, and movement of flight and non-flight hardware between quality, integration, and off-site facilities.
  • Manage inbound delivery scheduling, badging coordination, and shipment receipt to ensure secure and compliant site entry.
  • Oversee physical receiving, inspection, and SAP/MES entry of all hardware and materials to maintain full system and physical alignment.
  • Understand and manage physical storage of flight hardware to minimize impact on adjacent teams.
  • Maintain material visibility and SAP accuracy across multiple facilities through disciplined goods movement, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve operational risks or bottlenecks affecting material availability or hardware flow to include issues upon receipt and issuance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Launch Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Security, and Facilities to drive material readiness and compliance.
  • Develop and execute short-term solutions to mitigate schedule pressures, optimize dock and yard utilization, and support launch milestones.
  • Champion process improvement initiatives to standardize receiving, kitting, and yard workflows across Kuiper’s network.
  • Maintain traceability and batch/serial integrity of all controlled hardware.
  • Mentor yard and inventory associates in SAP usage, material traceability, and safe operational practices.
  • Hire and develop the best receiving associates and leads.
  • Perform root cause analysis/reporting on supply chain and operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvements.
  • Develop analysis of key business metrics, with emphasis on developing and executing recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment processes with Launch Operations Teams, Planning, Global Trade & Compliance, and suppliers.
  • Solve daily operational issues in contact with other stakeholders and Operations teams that block integration.
  • Other additional duties as assigned.
  • Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules.
  • Role requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to support launch activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics, 2+ years of inventory, or production operations experience within aerospace, manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional coordination between logistics, production, and program stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and concise communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4

HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
  • Experience supporting launch, integration, or aerospace production operations.
  • Familiarity with MES, warehouse management, and yard-management software.
  • Proven record of improving material accuracy, traceability, and logistics performance in complex environments.
  • Ability to coordinate material kitting cadences and align them with operational schedules and hardware needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with leadership up to senior management level.
