Sales Support Associate Job Description

Responsibilities
  • CASH WRAP:
    Greet the customer with a smile and eye contact, offer your name; interact genuinely; read cues to determine customer needs; conduct email/name capture where permitted by law; maintain accuracy when operating POS; maintain cash wrap organization and cleanliness; suggest add-ons and sell gift cards; maintain cash and POS media in compliance with Coach policy; create a lasting impression by thanking the customer and providing a reason to return.
  • STOCKROOM / WAREHOUSE:
    Receive shipments and transfers; notify Store Management when new product arrives; scan cartons/transfers and verify store information; communicate discrepancies to Store Management; process shipments/transfers according to Coach standards and time frames; organize and clean stock room daily (including offsite/remote warehouse as applicable); shift/organize product to accommodate sell-through; manage stock levels in back-of-house and sales floor; prepare and conduct regular cycle counts;

    participate in store physical inventory counts; maintain company loss prevention standards.
  • SALES FLOOR:
    Regularly analyze sales floor to assess replenishment needs; replenish floor; respond to sell-through and execute visual merchandising needs; support sales floor activities; communicate price points, features/benefits, color and stock availability to customers; respond to customer requests confidently and partner with sales team or Store Management when needed; uphold housekeeping standards.

Qualifications
  • Experience:

    1-3 years of previous retail experience (cashier/stock, sales, etc.), preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and marketplace competition.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Technical:
    Knowledge of cash register systems; basic computer skills (including using iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, and Internet); ability to use walkie talkie; read price and product release sheets.
  • Physical:
    Ability to work at a fast pace; communicate effectively with customers and team; move around the sales floor, stock room; able to climb, bend, kneel; frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds for shipments/transfers.
  • Schedule:

    Ability to meet scheduling and availability expectations, including flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays with high retail traffic and sales days.
