Position: Part Time Veterinarian - Merrimac, NH (AUG2)
Overview

Join Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare as an in-home veterinarian serving Southern New Hampshire & Merrimac Valley. This mobile practice offers compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia with generous appointment times and minimal administrative duties. We are veterinarian-owned and understand that pets are beloved family members. Our mission is to support pets and their families during life's challenging moments by helping pets pass peacefully in the home.

We prioritize building deep, meaningful connections with pet families, colleagues, and the community.

Compensation

Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $/yr. This range is provided by Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets
  • Guide families in making end-of-life decisions for their pets
  • Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their care
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
  • 1+ year of experience as a practicing veterinarian
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted
  • Capable of walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
