Data Modeler

Overview

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Modeler to join their team. As a Data Modeler, you will be part of the Data Architecture Department supporting the Data Modeling and Data Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Modeler

Location: Merrimack, New Hampshire

Contract: 3 month contract, possible extension

• Develop and maintain comprehensive data models including conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into scalable data models.
• Utilize data modeling tools such as Power Designer, Erwin, or Oracle Designer to create and refine data structures.
• Work closely with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams to ensure data models support analytical and operational needs.
• Guide and mentor junior data modelers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Proficiency in data modeling techniques including Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, and Dimensional modeling.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as Power Designer, Erwin, or Oracle Designer.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries (preferably ANSI SQL).
• Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams to develop effective data solutions.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, techniques, and current trends in data science.
