Hybrid 2 weeks onsite in either Merrimack, NH or Westlake, TX
Our client operates a high-performing platform for generating, archiving, and reconciling regulatory and non-regulatory financial communications. The team delivers robust and reliable solutions that support customer communications across personal and institutional domains.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Support the R4 Production Responsive Team within the Customer Communication division of Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology.
- Prioritize and advance platform stability, resiliency, and performance alongside functional delivery.
- Develop and maintain Java-based services and troubleshoot RESTful web services.
- Provide application support including identification, isolation, and escalation of production issues.
- Collaborate with team leads and developers across US, Ireland, and India to influence delivery and engineering practices.
- Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines and monitoring for failure analysis.
- Leverage architectural patterns including microservices, messaging, and event-driven frameworks with enterprise databases.
- Promote an environment of innovation to improve scale, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Experience Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with z/OS, Web Sphere Application Server on z/OS, JCL, COBOL, REXX, DB2, VSAM, and Control-M.
- Experience developing and maintaining Java services, including Spring Boot.
- Strong CI/CD experience and proficiency with logging and monitoring tools for failure analysis.
- Experience with message-oriented middleware and streaming platforms such as JMS, Active
MQ, IBM MQ, and Apache Kafka. - Experience troubleshooting RESTful web services using Java technologies.
- Proven experience with architectural patterns, microservices, messaging/event-driven frameworks, and enterprise databases in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with timely decision making based on facts and judgment.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners.
- Ability to influence and partner with delivery and engineering leaders across global teams.
- Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native services (preferred).
- Background in customer communications domains such as statements, compliance letters, proxy votes, and trade confirmations (preferred).
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in information technology.
- AWS certification (preferred).
