Field IT Support Technician

Overview

As a Field IT Support Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control equipment. Each technician is provided with a company vehicle that will be used to travel to our customer sites. Other duties include maintaining an inventory of repair parts and documenting your work through our service tracking system.

• Perform onsite installation and maintenance support on computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control equipment.
• Travel to customer sites using a company vehicle.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts.
• Document work through our service tracking system.
• Work with hardware such as application servers, PCs, cabling, switches, printers, routers, fiber converters, and scanners.

• Technical associate's degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of technical experience (hardware/networking)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis
• Must be able to attend a paid training class in Texas
• Must have a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years
• Good communication skills
• Customer service experience
• A+ and/or Network+ certification is a plus
• Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 25% of the time
