Overview

JD Finish Line is seeking an Associate at the Southlake Mall location, Merrillville, IN. You will assist with daily operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences, contributing to store success and company growth.

  Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and upholding high standards of service.
• Sales & Performance:
  Drive store sales and profitability through merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
• Operational Excellence:
  Participate in daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, shipment workflow, order fulfillment, and store maintenance; ensure compliance with policies and health & safety regulations.

  Collaboration:
  
  Work with team members to achieve store goals; adhere to store policies and safety regulations.
• Additional duties and projects as required.

• Experience:
  
  Retail or similar role with track record of achieving sales targets preferred.

  Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks; positive attitude and reliability.

• Tech-Savvy:
  Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.

• Set weekly availability including mornings, days, and nights based on business needs.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays as required.
• Consistent punctuality and regular attendance per company policies.
• Clear spoken English for customer communication.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math in English to handle tasks and understand sales reports.

• Prolonged standing approximately four to 14 hours per day.
• Stooping, kneeling to place merchandise, reaching and pulling to stock merchandise.
• May climb ladders or stairs to stock or obtain merchandise.
• Lift items weighing 5–25 lbs regularly; heavier weights in certain circumstances.
• Good vision including color differentiation.
• Moderately noisy retail environment.
