Patriot Truss & Components is looking for a Lumber Buyer
. The ideal candidate understands lumber markets, grades, and species specific to truss production and can balance cost control with production needs.

• Purchase lumber and truss-related materials to support production schedules and inventory requirements
• Source and negotiate with lumber mills, wholesalers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply
• Monitor lumber markets, pricing trends, and availability to make informed buying decisions
• Collaborate with truss designers, production managers, and yard staff on material requirements and substitutions
• Maintain accurate purchasing records

• The minimum work week to consist of Monday-Friday.
• Normal hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Additional hours may be required at times to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of basic building concepts and math calculations
• Experience in purchasing, construction, or lumber/building supply industry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
