Assistant Maintenance

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Maintenance professional to join our team at Lincolnshire Health and Rehabilitation Center in Merrillville, Indiana. As an Assistant Maintenance team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintainability of our facilities, equipment, and surroundings. • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, painting, and repairing various areas of the facility
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment, including but not limited to refrigerators, dishwashers, and HVAC systems
• Keep the facility's common areas, including but not limited to floors, walls, and ceilings, in a clean and tidy condition
• Assist with the upkeep of the facility's grounds, including but not limited to mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, and trimming bushes
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff and residents in a timely and efficient manner
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks and ensure completion of projects in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required
