As a QMA, you will be responsible for improving our residents experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Your focus will be the basic quality-of-life for our residents, so duties such as recording vitals, providing ambulatory assistance, and seeing to medication needs will be key in the individualized care.

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this health campus and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director.
• Follow the medication card practices of the facility.
• Follow the facility procedure for recording the order in the resident’s clinical record, including the type, route, dosage, frequency and strength of each medication.
• Accurately measure, record, and report the vital signs of residents.
• Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and physical safety of each resident.
• Practice good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
• Greet and assist all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.

We are looking for a part time and full time Qualified Medication Assistant, QMA for our evening shift. Fresh out of school? • Strong interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to delivering sensitive information to patients and/or families.
• Ability to think critically under pressure.
• Must have and maintain a current, valid QMA license.
• Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Be able to make independent decisions concerning above job duties.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family member, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and the general public.
• Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

• 8 or 12 hour shifts
• Full time and Part time QMA availability
• Rotating Holiday Schedule
• Weekend availability
