Our client is a Utility Services organization. Based out of Merrillville, IN 46410, they are looking to hire a Meter Processing Representative on a contract basis.

Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Required Skills & Experience- Experience in data entry, billing operations, or meter processing within a utility, energy, or operations environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify and reconcile meter or billing data
- Experience working with customer information systems (CIS) or similar operational systems
- Ability to coordinate schedules, routes, or service orders
- Basic customer service and phone support experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Prior experience in gas, electric, or utility operations
- Familiarity with meter reading systems, handheld devices, or electronic meter data transfer
- Experience supporting field or vendor-based teams
- Understanding of billing adjustments, re-reads, or exception handling
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Prepare customer correspondence related to meter readings and billing issues
