Overview
Applications are now being accepted for a Public Health Nurse with the Lincoln County Health Department. This position is scheduled for 24 hours per week. Supporting organizational success through efficient administration, strategic Human Resources solutions, and fostering a positive, workplace culture.
Position OverviewProvides public health nursing services to individuals, families, and population groups. Duties include communicable disease follow-up, immunizations, jail nursing, oral health services, and maternal and child health. Nursing activities include, but are not limited to, analysis of health data, vaccinations, health screening and follow-up, health education and advocacy, coalition building and collaborating with community partners to promote the health of a population.
The public health nurse can be expected to assist in the provision of public health services in the event of a public health emergency.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin required. One to two years’ experience in public health nursing preferred.
Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, proof of insurance and a good driving record.
WageStarting wage of $31.92 to $35.57 per hour based on experience.
Schedule and BenefitsMonday-Friday day shift with schedule flexibility.
