Overview

Independent Living Specialist Community Horizons is partnering with a wonderful member of the Merrill community to find him a Direct Care Partner to assist him with personal care and home tasks. The member desires someone who is reliable, has an upbeat personality and a drive to help others. This opportunity is in a private, waterfront home with a beautiful view of the Wisconsin River.

Schedule:

Part-time hours - Flexible schedule - Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings (every other week) - Saturday & Sunday morning (every other week). Each shift is 4-5 hours in length depending on the needs of the member. Fill in shifts available to cover scheduled vacations and staff absences.

• Showering/Dressing & Grooming Assistance
• Meal Preparation/Planning
• Light Housecleaning
• Laundry/Linen Changing
• Medication Administration
• Bowel Program
• Transfers to and from bed/wheelchair
• Occasional transportation to and from appointments or activities with the use of the member owned van
• Wound care as needed

• Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
• A background check is required before starting employment
• Must be 18 years old to apply
• A driver s license is required for this position
• Working with the elderly is a plus
• There is a pet in the home and member is a smoker
