DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Review of multiple domestic and international affiliate financial statements for compliance with US GAAP on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Prepare electronic month-end close binders
- Participate in month-end group close process and tie out of financial statements
- Coordinate accounting issues with overseas financial staff, other Seaboard departments, and investment partners
- Prepare group MD&A and other quarterly schedules
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
- Complete SOX internal control compliance
- Prepare year-end audit support schedules
- Manage the financial accounting filing system
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
- Travel to international affiliate locations and perform site reviews
- 2+ years job-related experience, working for a Big 4 accounting firm
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- US CPA Required
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with reporting financials in accordance with US GAAP
- Experience with People Soft Financials is a plus
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with overseas affiliate location management and division executive management
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, especially as it relates to presenting technical accounting concepts with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate issues and any necessary changes with affiliate financial statements
- Ability to effectively lead affiliates through the process of identifying and resolving issues with their monthly financial statements in a timely manner
- High attention to detail and deadline-oriented
- Highly organized with the ability to keep track of accounting issues and follow-up for numerous financial statements on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Basic knowledge of one or more languages is a plus (French, Spanish)
