• Monday-Friday every week (Occasional Saturdays)

• The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Meridian, LA hauling site

• Each day you’ll fix the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. Watch a truck roll out of the shop with pride, knowing your local community is supported by your work.
• Work on equipment that requires a high level of skill and determination using modern tools and procedures for maintenance on diesel equipment and, at some locations, on our growing fleet of CNG trucks

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
• Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
