Position: MAINTENANCE/GROUNDS TECHNICIAN II
The Human Resources Office is now accepting applications for 2 Maintenance/Grounds Technician II to be assigned to CMRC in Newton.

SALARY: $22,039.90 annually

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Typically requires Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma) AND Two years of experience in at least one of the following fields: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, electrical work, plastering, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, or general maintenance and repair.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

• Two years’ experience as a Facilities Maintenance Worker

• Performs skilled tasked in one or more of the following maintenance repair fields: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, electrical work, plastering, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, or general maintenance and repair.

• Receives work orders, itemizes work to be done and completes assigned tasks.

• Prepares cost estimates as needed and recommends the purchase of supplies.

• Make repairs to buildings and other equipment.

• Performs ground maintenance such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns, bushes, and planting trees.

• Collect and remove trash from the grounds.
