As a Security Officer - Access Control in Meridian, MS
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where access control keeps operations moving. As an Access Control Officer, you will greet associates and visitors, verify identification, manage badge and entry procedures, monitor activity through rounds and observation, and document security-related incidents and requests.

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Manage access control for a logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, controlling entry and exit points, and maintaining access logs.
• Screen and document inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer traffic, including checking appointments and paperwork, and directing drivers to designated docks and staging areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including notifying site contacts and documenting events per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including monitoring gates, yards, and warehouse areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
