Job Description Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership in implementing effective human resource strategies and programs that align an engaged, motivated workforce with Baptist’s organizational goals. This role serves as a strategic partner and advocate for managers and employees, ensuring the effective use of HR tools to maximize performance, drive organizational effectiveness, and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

In addition, the Director provides innovative leadership to maximize the entity’s contribution to overall corporate performance through strategic planning and alignment with both human and financial goals. The position ensures that the entity supports and advances the corporation’s mission and objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to support and guide HR operations, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to leadership, providing data-driven insights and HR expertise.
  • Administer employee engagement surveys and develop action plans to improve satisfaction.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including coordination with legal counsel on EEOC and other matters.
  • Oversee orientation and training programs to support employee development and cultural alignment.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions and lead teams effectively.
