Salary: $65,000.00–$75,000.00
Under indirect supervision, manages women's health care, focusing particularly on pregnancy, childbirth, the post‑partum period, care of the newborn, and family planning and gynecologic needs of women. Practice within the health care system and perform consultation, collaborative management. Works autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patients' health problems and serve in various settings as researcher, consultant, and patient advocate.
Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. This position requires one shift of 8 hours/day, five days per week. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call‑back as required.
- Develops a plan of care within scope of practice of the nurse practitioner utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
- Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
- Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Supports lifelong learning.
- Completes assigned goals.
- Minimum: 1 year clinical experience functioning in the nurse midwife role.
- Minimum:
Either a Masters or Doctoral level as a nurse practitioner.
- Computer literate. CPR/BLS.
- Hold current certification by a national certifying body recognized by the Board of Nursing.
- Current license by the state of practice.
- Eligible for or have a certificate of fitness/prescription privileges.
