The Bartender is familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver excellent customer services. Responsible for maintaining a culture of food and drink exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and employees. The Bartender is responsible for serving patrons at our bar, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar and performing alcohol inventories at the end of each night to help maintain proper inventory levels.
Duties & Responsibilities- Create a culture of food exploration, innovation and education for guests and employees.
- Deliver a consistently high-level customer service to each customer and maintain a safe environment by identifying any issues.
- Takes customer orders and relays them to the kitchen staff.
- Facilitate the filling of drink orders between customers and the bar.
- Suggest additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks, when appropriate.
- Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
- Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar satisfied at all times.
- Uphold set standard and enforce food and drink preparations and handling ensuring compliance with company food safety policy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must maintain state Food Handler’s Permit.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner. Greeting customers with finesse and charm.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend.
- Ability to use basic math skills.
- Self-motivated professional with a drive to increase knowledge of Albertsons products.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, accurate and have good time management skills.
- Ability to multitask while working under stress and time constraints.
- Reports to work in proper uniform per company policy.
Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Comfort with noisy, high-volume atmosphere. Capable of working well under pressure.
Physical RequirementsSeldom: 1-2 hours, Occasional: 3-4 hours, Frequent: 5-6 hours, Continuous: 7+ hours (Based on an 8-hour workday.)
