Admissions Nurse (RN or LPN) – Northpoint Recovery
Join our team as an Admissions Nurse, working onsite in Meridian, , Loveland, CO, or Omaha, NE. Reports to the Corporate Director of Admissions.
Schedule:
Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8 am‑4:30 pm. Compensation: $25–$40 per hour.
Position Summary
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Admissions Nurse coordinates and approves medical screenings conducted by the admissions team. Working closely with admissions staff, medical facilities, and the nursing team, you ensure patient screenings are completed accurately and timely, coordinate inpatient admissions, and elevate any potential medical risks. Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate with medical facilities to obtain and review necessary medical records to facilitate the admission process.
- Work with the admissions team to approve medical screenings and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and facility personnel to schedule and coordinate patient admissions.
- Escalate medical screenings to appropriate medical staff when potential risks are identified.
- Act as a liaison among the admissions team, patients, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and safe admission processes.
- Provide ongoing communication with relevant teams regarding patient status and admission logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to patient admissions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical screenings and communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Current, unencumbered, active nursing license in the state where services are rendered.
- Must maintain applicable state licensure throughout employment.
- Ability to analyze screening data and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for placement.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of medical screening processes and admission protocols.
- Minimum three years of nursing experience (five years suggested); admissions experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare professionals in high-pressure situations.
- Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to identify and raise potential medical risks or complications.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent organizational abilities.

- Detail‑oriented; can manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Problem‑solving and decisive action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and EMR systems.
- Experience in medical admissions or patient intake coordination.
