Position: Associate / Senior Engineer - Site Development
Summary

Provost & Pritchard is offering opportunities for associate and senior civil engineers with a diversity of experience working on site civil development projects for public agencies and private developers. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and work closely with clients, and work in multidisciplinary project design teams. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of land use entitlement processing as well as the plan check and permitting process for construction documents.

The candidate will have experience working on design and construction projects involving site grading, paving, drainage and other on- and off-site civil infrastructure with the ability to solve problems independently and in a team environment. Bilingual in Spanish is not required but is a plus.

Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of civil engineering design for site development projects and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner. We work on a variety of development projects ranging from residential communities to recreational facilities to heavy industrial developments. We work with a diverse group of private clients and public agencies. Serious candidates must have an interest and/or experience in areas such as:

• Project Planning and Design
• Grading and Drainage Design
• On-site Sewer and Water Design
• ADAS/ABAAS Accessibility Evaluation and Design
• Agency Coordination

Qualifications

For Associate level candidates:

• Must hold an active Idaho PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for  within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis in transportation, geotechnical, environmental, construction or related courses of study
• 5 years' experience preparing site development construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations and conducting research in support of infrastructure-related designs and/or studies
• Have a general understanding of ADA compliance and implementation
• Excellent AutoCAD skills; experience with Civil 3D, vehicle simulation, and storm & sanitary sewer analysis is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

For Senior level candidates:

• Must hold an active Idaho PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for  within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 10 years of experience designing and preparing site development construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations and conducting research in support of infrastructure-related designs and/or studies
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing projects
• Have a general understanding of ADA compliance and implementation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
