We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) to join our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) team in Plainfield, CT. You’ll work one-on-one with individuals, helping them rebuild life skills, gain confidence, and live more independently — all while being part of a mission-driven nonprofit that truly values its team.

• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
• Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client’s personalized service plan.
• Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress — big and small!
• Be a positive, steady presence as your clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.

• Be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record
• Verifiable
  
  Experience with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI):
  • 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, OR
  • 1 year with a bachelor’s degree

• 1st Shift (Per Diem): 8am–8pm
• 2nd Shift (Part-Time): 4pm–8pm

Starting pay: $18.00/hour
