The Senior Technical Program Manager, Tooling and Automation owns the strategy and end-to-end program management for the tools, data systems, and workflow automations that enable predictable, scalable delivery of Fleet’s data center campuses and customer deployments in North America.

They are a key member of a multi-disciplined team of engineers, data professionals, and technical program managers that plan, build, and operate the digital backbone for Fleet’s campus planning, construction, commissioning, and customer turn-up processes. They partner closely with data center engineering, construction and commissioning, network and server deployment teams, procurement and supply chain, legal, and finance to design and deliver internal tools that improve schedule fidelity, risk management, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency.

The Sr. TPM is responsible for defining the multi-year tooling and automation roadmap, translating ambiguous business and technical needs into clear requirements, and driving cross-functional programs from concept through launch and adoption. They are accountable for measurable improvements in how Fleet plans, executes, and monitors its data center campus portfolio and customer infrastructure deployments.

The Technical Program Manager, Tooling and Automation reports to the Director of Data Center Planning and Delivery, Fleet Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the tooling and automation roadmap that supports data center campus planning, construction, commissioning, and customer network/server deployment workflows, aligned with Fleet’s growth objectives and customer commitments.
  • Develop end-to-end, multi-phase program plans and schedules for tooling and automation initiatives, aligning stakeholder needs and delivery dates, upstream data sources, system integrations, and change‑management milestones. You are responsible for on‑time and on‑budget delivery of high‑impact internal tools and automation capabilities.
  • Translate ambiguous operational and business problems into clear technical requirements, including data models, integrations, user journeys, and reporting needs, partnering closely with software engineering, data engineering, product, and operations teams.
  • Design and implement mechanisms and dashboards that provide single‑source‑of‑truth visibility into campus delivery, capacity, financials, and risk, reliably catching and escalating delays, rework, and other risks to meeting customer commitments.
  • Establish and champion standards for data quality, telemetry, and observability across tools and workflows, ensuring that program and portfolio decisions are made on high‑quality, timely data.
  • Coordinate, track, and drive execution of cross‑functional teams (internal and external) delivering new tools and automations, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and training.
