As a member of the College Corps staff, this position uses the skills of a seasoned, experienced program professional to develop, organize and oversee the College Corps recruitment processes of both host site and fellows. This professional is responsible for applying grant‑specific practices to enhance and support campus‑community partnerships. The professional provides timelines, rubrics and resources for successful host site and fellow recruitment and collaboration, communicates regularly and professionally with fellows, College Corps staff, and program stakeholders, and provides regular updates and progress reports to all constituents.
Responsibilities include managing responsibilities in the following functional areas: host‑site and fellow recruitment and selection, training, orientation and weekly updates and support; working as part of the College Corps program team within the Community Engagement Center (CEC), reporting directly to the Director, and working closely with the entire College Corps and CEC staff to manage the College Corps grant program goals and directives.
Key Responsibilities- Program Administration – Leads fellow recruitment, application process, pre‑service orientation, onboarding, hours tracking and community‑building for both College Corps fellows and host sites; provides oversight for fellow POD groups and Lunch & Learns planning and tracking; meets with site supervisors to provide training and support completion of formal agreements and manage fellow‑host site challenges; supports development of criteria for site selection and provides guidance for fellow activities, compliance and documentation;
supports planning and execution of pre‑service orientation, Saturday seminars and end‑of‑year program poster session and celebration. - Recruitment and Orientation – Leads recruitment efforts welcoming all students across the campus; reviews applications and conducts interviews with 200‑300 students, ensuring a diverse cohort; plans and oversees orientation and onboarding processes to acclimate students to community engagement programs.
