We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician to serve as an OB Hospitalist in Merced, CA. Key Responsibilities include managing OB Triage, deliveries, emergency gynecological cases, and consults, with an average of 1-4 deliveries per shift. The role involves working in a hospital setting utilizing the EPIC EMR system, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care within a Level II NICU facility. Your expertise will directly impact the health and well-being of mothers and infants in the community.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid state medical license
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience in obstetric care, deliveries, and emergency gynecological procedures
• Proficiency in EMR systems, preferably EPIC
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond effectively to urgent situations

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience working in a hospitalist setting or as a locum provider
• Knowledge of Level II NICU operations
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Prior experience in busy obstetric units or maternal-fetal medicine

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree with completion of OB-GYN residency
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics
• Prior locum or hospitalist experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for a California medical license
• Willingness to work 24-hour shifts (7a-7a)
• Ability to travel, if applicable, for licensing or credentialing purposes
• Certifications in BLS and NRP required
