Description
As a server, you are responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience by exhibiting excellent customer service. Responsibilities will include taking food and drink orders and ensuring tables are served properly and all payments are collected.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management and deemed necessary from time to time.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Accurately take food and drink orders and enter into the POS system.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. Split checks if applicable. Collect payments from tables.
- Pre-bus/bus tables to help table turn around.
- Complete weekly cleaning tasks, designated side work and roll silverware.
- Stock ice.
- Help food preparation staff when necessary
- 18 years of age, to serve alcoholic beverages
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
- Previous serving experience recommended
- Ability to work nights and weekends a must
