Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position with telemetry skills and EPIC charting proficiency on night shifts.

• Work in a medical/surgical nursing unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adult med/surg and telemetry cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 08:30
• May float onsite within skill set or to locations within a 40-mile radius if needed
• Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
• Provide med/surg and telemetry nursing care to adult patients
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• May be asked to float to other units or sites within 40 miles according to need
• All Ascension positions are auto offer for qualified candidates
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate per facility radius rules
• Only one application allowed to Ascension positions system wide
• First time travelers are accepted

• Active WI or compact RN license required with Nursys primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (annual or biennial update depending on group)
• No artificial or acrylic nails; natural nails must be less than 1/4 inch
• Applicants must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
