Senior Structural Designer

Position Title:Senior Structural Designer

FLSA Designation:Exempt

Reports to:Creative Director

Salary Range:$85,000.00 To $ Annually

Develop innovative, cost-effective, visually appealing, and structurally sound point of purchase temporary and semi-permanent displays and signage. The position requires the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment, guiding personnel, clients and vendors, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Create designs, drawings, and prototypes utilizing Artios Cad software and Kongsberg cutting table.
• Provide high-level structural support to our clients, business development and marketing efforts.
• Support Graphic Design with art assets and file conversion.
• Utilizes the latest technology, software and tools to innovate and streamline projects and process.
• Acts as a supportive interface between sales, customer service and production.
• Design according to machinery limitations of internal plants, external outsource vendors, and suppliers.
• Perform daily maintenance and run print jobs on the digital press.
• Works with project managers and pre-press team to ensure a smoother workflow in designs.
• Possess competency in the company's management system software.
• Possess general graphics knowledge relating to structural display and packaging design.
• Participate in client, project management and process improvement meetings as necessary.
• Participate in onboarding, training in design and other functional departments.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of design areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Creative Director.
• Aspects of design, as related to all functional areas within the organization.
• Knowledge of structural design as related to outside functions, co-packing, freight, retail and consumer.
• Knowledge of specific retailer structural compliance standards for displays, packaging, and signage.
• Proficient in the following programs, applications/software:
• Microsoft Applications:
  PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Dual-skilled Rhino 3D Modeling Software a plus.
• Dual-skilled Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.
• Applicable Project Management Software.

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Regularly required to sit, regular use of hands.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a concentration in Packaging Engineering or Industrial Design preferred.
• 5-15 years of relevant experience.
• Corrugated and semi-permanent display/packaging structural design experience.
