Children: Three children, ages 2, 5, and 8 years

Pets: None

Schedule: 40 hr/week

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

- Some flexibility with hours is required

- Paid Training/Orientation offered:
Week of June 8 (flexible scheduling)

Compensation: $23–$28/hour DOE

Benefits:

- Guaranteed 40 hours per week

- 2 paid personal/sick days for the summer term

- Mileage reimbursed for work-related driving

About the Family & Position

This busy and active family of five is seeking a full-time summer nanny and household assistant to support their home in Mequon, WI for a short-term 11-week contract. The family values dependable, proactive childcare and consistent household support, providing a structured, engaging, and fun environment for three children (ages 8, 5, and
2).

The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and thoughtful, able to balance hands-on childcare with household responsibilities. This includes supporting morning and afternoon routines, planning enrichment activities and outings, assisting with meals and snacks, managing laundry, and maintaining overall household organization.

This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, enjoys working in a dynamic home environment, and is committed to providing stability, consistency, and nurturing care throughout the 11-week summer term.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare Duties

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for three children (ages 8, 5, and
    2)
  • Support a structured, active, and engaging summer routine
  • Plan and supervise daily activities, educational outings, and play
  • Transport children safely to parks, library programs, and swimming activities
  • Provide age-appropriate supervision, play, and engagement
  • Support evening routines as needed, including meals, bathing, and wind-down activities
  • Engage children in meaningful indoor and outdoor play that promotes development and learning
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with parents regarding routines, activities, and household needs

Household Duties

  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks primarily for the children, with occasional family dinner preparation
  • Manage children’s laundry (washing, folding, and organization)
  • Maintain daily tidying and organization of play areas, kitchen, and children’s spaces
  • Load/unload dishwasher and handle dishes used throughout the day
  • Assist with trash management and recycling
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and orderly household environment
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced in caring for multiple children, including toddlers, with a patient, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • Maintains a calm and steady demeanor in busy or high-pressure situations and responds thoughtfully under stress
  • Confident, safe driver with experience managing transportation for children (school, camp, activities) and has a reliable vehicle for work-related driving (mileage reimbursed per IRS standards)
  • Strong swimming skills and confidence supervising children around water
  • Comfortable spending significant time outdoors engaging children in play and learning activities
  • Energetic, adaptable, and proactive, able to support a dynamic and structured family schedule
  • Solutions-focused and confident in making independent, well-reasoned decisions while partnering effectively with parents
  • Comfortable preparing nutritious meals and snacks and supporting children’s daily routines
  • Skilled in household management, including laundry, meal preparation, light cleaning, and organization
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents
  • Committed to providing consistency, stability, and long-term support for the children
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic household and contributing positively to the family’s daily routines
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of childcare experience with children (required)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
  • Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance (required)
