Position Summary
Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. In this role you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you will adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and support stores and store associates, documenting all repair activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
- Can move up and down ladders frequently.
- Comfortable working at heights frequently.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Can work in various temperatures.
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

The hourly wage range is $19.00 – $35.00, plus additional bonuses to be disclosed during the interview process. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Minimum QualificationsVocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade – or 5 years’ experience in the same trades. Valid driver’s license. Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program, license in the related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located, and intermediate‑level proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
