Position: Manufacturing Assembler (Mentor)

Manufacturing Assembler

Shifts: 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and Mid Shift (10:00am-6:30pm) for training with eventual transition to 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11pm)

Responsibilities
  • Review and retrieve required inventory parts on schematics, drawings or work instructions.
  • Perform simple to complex assembly operations.
  • Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Report any deficiency to the Department Lead.
  • Follow department processes to ensure ISO compliance.
  • Possess some electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to use small hand tools including but not limited to cutters, strippers, crimpers and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate with Department Lead any discrepancies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve workplace environment and safety conditions.
  • Maintain clean, neat, safe and orderly work area.
  • Attend work regularly and promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Attend and participate in all required training.
  • Attend and participate in all departmental meetings.
  • Other essential duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
  • High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalence Certificate desired.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of raw materials.
  • Understand production processes and procedures.
  • Understand the basics of electricity and mechanics.
  • Ability to use small hand tools.
  • Understand how to read diagrams.
  • Knowledge of quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to monitor/assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Arrange items or actions in an ordered pattern according to specific rules.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment, report potential hazards, maintain a neat and orderly work area, and proactively seek opportunities to improve workplace environment, health, and/or safety conditions.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
