Buildings and Grounds Technician

We are seeking a hands-on and dependable PART-TIME
Buildings & Grounds Technician to support the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of residential and commercial properties. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping environments functional and inviting, values customer service, and has an eye for detail.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintenance & Repairs (55%)

• Paint offices, hallways, and other building areas
• Replace light bulbs and ballasts
• Unclog toilets and perform minor plumbing repairs
• Repair and assemble furniture and equipment
• Prepare rooms for meetings (set up tables and chairs)
• Trim trees and shrubs, remove dead plants

Cleanliness (15%)

• Pick up debris around grounds
• Wash tables, walls, and furniture
• Clean windows
• Maintain orderly work spaces and tool storage areas

Preventative Maintenance (10%)

• Inspect fire extinguishers and organization vehicles
• Regularly survey buildings for safety and maintenance issues

Compliance & Documentation (5%)

• Log work completed in maintenance tracking system

Performance & Growth (5%)

• Complete tasks efficiently and on time
• Participate in training to expand skills

Additional Responsibilities (10%)

• Coordinate with vendors
• Take inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies
• Clean company vehicles
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in facilities, property maintenance, or similar role
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, light carpentry, and landscaping
• Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment
• Comfortable using hand tools and small power tools
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to safety and teamwork
