Position Summary
The Quality Analyst Intern is responsible for assisting in administration of the quality analytics function to support the STERIS Global Quality Analytics department. This position assists with the development and implementation of quality and operational analysis and reporting in various systems to support management review and decision-making. This position is active in supporting performance improvement initiatives and provides inputs for analysis that is presented to senior management and local site management across all STERIS facilities.
The individual is responsible for completing assigned reporting and analytic requirements provided by internal and external Customers.
The role is responsible for the reporting and analysis that supports the quality system to be compliant with, as appropriate, the following standards: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211, EU GMPs, ISO 17025, ISO 11137 and/or ISO 11135 and other applicable regulatory standards. This role supports local site efforts focused on quality system improvement, supplier quality, process quality, new service/modality/technology development quality and quality system compliance.
The Quality Analyst Intern supports the maintenance and development of the Track Wise eQMS.
This role supports the Global Quality Analytics team in migrating dashboards to tableau cloud and assisting with data visualization and reporting tasks. This internship offers hands-on experience in data quality analysis, dashboard development, dashboard validation, and exposure to quality systems in a regulated industry. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced analysts and contribute to performance improvement initiatives and reporting accuracy.

What You'll Do as a Quality Analyst Intern
* Assist with Tableau Cloud migration, including testing, validation, and dashboard replication.
* Support dashboard development by preparing datasets and applying visualization best practices.
* Help maintain and update recurring reports (monthly/quarterly) for quality operations.
* Review data for accuracy and assist in identifying trends or anomalies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and feedback.
* Document processes and contribute to standard operating procedures for analytics tasks.
* Participate in quality system improvement initiatives and data-driven investigations.
* Coordinate individual day-to-day tasks to complete recurring (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) reporting requirements for Quality Analytics function.
* Responsible for executing data refreshes and reporting updates at regular intervals to maintain accurate reporting for quality operations.
* Monitor and report on performance metrics.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
The Experience,
Skills and Abilities
Needed
Required:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or analytical field (e.g., Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Quality Management).
* Basic understanding of data analytics and visualization tools (Excel required; Tableau preferred).
* Experience with statistical analysis or trending techniques.
* Mathematical skills including practical application of statistical trending, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and algebra.
Preferred:
* Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or other data analytics tools.
* Exposure to quality systems or regulated environments (e.g., ISO, FDA) is a plus.
Other:
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and organizational abilities.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Pay range for this opportunity is $20-25/hr.
