Child/Youth Day Treatment School Specialist

This position provides hands-on client monitoring, supervision, therapeutic activities and behavioral interventions in the Day Treatment Program. The Child/Youth Specialist will provide on-site client supervision on community outings and during van transportation; facilitates/co-facilitates groups and other therapeutic activities; and provides crisis support as needed. This highly visible position will have an opportunity to provide a positive environment for kids who are in need of understanding, patience, and a can-do attitude.
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field involving child and youth population with mental health needs
- One (1) to two (2) years internship experience (preferred)
- Group facilitation experience (preferred)
- QMHS - qualified mental health specialist (employer provided)
- AMD - Aggressive Management De-escalation/Physical Hold Training within first 6 months of employment
- For positions that may transport clients:
Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000 - BLS/CPR/First Aid (as applicable, company provided)

8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday–Friday - Travel: PRN transport and monitoring of clients in large 12-passenger vehicle; comfortable making home visits throughout the community and transporting clients in agency vans
