$12.61 - $13.69 per hour (3 Steps; Non-bargaining unit position)

Summary of Duties and Functions
  • Accept directions and suggestions from immediate supervisor.
  • Supervise large and small groups of children in an after school environment, independently and as part of a team.
  • Ensure the safety of students at all times.
  • Assist the program leader in planning the program and environment.
  • Lead students in developmentally appropriate activities as assigned.
  • Assist in the maintenance of records, charts, and complete other clerical work as assigned using current computer hardware and software.
  • Communicate with students and families in a professional manner.
  • Attend required in-services training sessions.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Qualities to Perform Essential Functions
  • At least eighteen years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of five hundred hours of related experience.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
  • Hold and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Demonstrate appropriate decision‑making skills and good judgment in both routine and stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communications.
  • Must pass a physical examination.
  • Remain free of any alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
